Meet Your Therapist, Jamie Lynn Mayberry Johnson

ABOUT

I’ve been licensed as a Social Worker in Louisiana since 2016.

I started my career as a Therapist and Social Worker with an in-home therapy company and an inpatient psych hospital. However, the turning point in my career was the five years I served as a NICU Social Worker at a level four Medical Center.

During my time at the maternal hospital, I came to a profound realization about my true calling: I wanted to become a licensed clinical social worker. I felt a deep desire to provide evidence-based therapy to individuals who are facing various challenges in their lives. I understood how difficult these moments can be, and I wanted to support and guide them through their struggles.

When I am not focused on work or personal growth, I cherish quality time with my husband and being a mom. I have a passion for traveling, as it allows me to immerse myself in diverse cultures, and I can often be found engrossed in a psychological thriller. I also love exploring new restaurants and seeking out fresh experiences. I believe in embracing life with an open mind and often say, ‘I’ll try almost anything once!”

I have an understanding personally and professionally that therapy could help heal the pain that life can bring. You are not alone, and I would be honored to walk with you on your journey.
